The girls
The best farm-fresh eggs in the county.
Our hens live the good life with room to roam, scratch and forage. The result is a beautiful mix of colourful, farm-fresh eggs with rich golden yolks and honest flavour. Eggs are sold through our self-serve farm stand when available.
Our Prince Edward County farm stand is located at 3365 County Road 3 in Carrying Place, where customers can find farm-fresh eggs and other seasonal products raised or made right here at Honeycomb Poultry Patch.

Meet Alicia
The heart behind our animals.
Alicia is the heart of the animal side of Honeycomb Poultry Patch.
Every bird here is hand raised by Alicia, so she knows their personalities inside and out. She knows who is friendly, who is bossy, who is curious, who likes attention, and who is probably up to something they shouldn’t be.
Every bird has a name. To Alicia, they are never just numbers in a flock.
She genuinely loves the animals we raise and believes good animal husbandry begins with knowing and caring about the animals in your charge. Around here, they aren’t simply “the chickens.” They are individuals with personalities, habits, friendships, and occasionally a considerable amount of attitude.
That connection is a big part of Honeycomb Poultry Patch. Because we are a small farm, we can know our animals personally and give them the kind of attention that simply isn’t possible in a large commercial operation.

Canadian Bresse
Bresse chicken breeder in Southern Ontario.
Honeycomb Poultry Patch is a farm, not a hatchery. Alicia personally runs our small, ethical Bresse breeding program. She plans every pairing, keeps the lineage records, and selects the birds that will shape the next generation.
Our birds live on several acres of open pasture. They are separated only during the breeding and hatching season, then returned to pasture with the rest of the flock when their seasonal work is finished.
Our British Columbia and Ontario bloodlines will soon be joined by a distinct line from Applemeadow Canadian Bresse in the Woodstock area, broadening the genetic base available for careful pairing and selection over generations. Every sale of hatching eggs or pullets from our program includes lineage paperwork identifying the recorded parents and breeder source.
We currently ship smaller quantities outside Ontario only. Contact us for availability and an exact shipping price. Because shipping and incubation are outside our control, hatch rates cannot be guaranteed.

Wildflower honey with a flavour all its own.
We manage our beehives right here on the property. The bees forage across the surrounding fields, forest edges and wild growth, creating raw wildflower honey with a distinctive hint of wild thyme. It is the flavour everyone talks about and comes back for.
Our honey is raw and unpasteurized, with only minimal straining. Quantities are very limited and availability changes through the season.
Cut comb is honey exactly as the bees made and sealed it, served inside the original edible beeswax comb. It is one of the least-handled ways to enjoy honey and naturally includes small amounts of pollen and propolis. Bee products are being studied for antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, although cut comb is a food and not a medical treatment.
Very limited seasonal supply

- Shoes that fully cover the toes are required
- Tours are seasonal and depend on the weather
- A liability waiver must be signed before entering the apiary
Important safety notice: Hive tours are not available to anyone with a known or suspected allergy to bee stings.
Coming spring 2027
Royal Palm turkeys for the homestead.
Royal Palms are a striking heritage turkey known for their crisp white plumage edged in metallic black. They are active, alert birds with strong natural instincts and excellent foraging ability.
Unlike commercial turkeys bred for broad breasts, Royal Palms breed naturally and are well suited to small farms and homesteads. Their manageable size, hardiness, and ability to thrive on pasture make them a practical choice for anyone who wants a turkey flock that can sustain itself naturally.
Honeycomb Poultry Patch is establishing two distinct Royal Palm bloodlines. Beginning in spring 2027, we plan to offer hatching eggs for shipping across Canada as well as carefully selected breeding pairs.
